Girl Scout Skate Party Tonight at 6:30PM!

We can’t wait to see all of our girls at Skate Zone tonight at 6:30PM. Parents are welcome to drop-off their girl at 6:30PM or join the fun for an additional $5 per person (cash only at the door). Pick-up is promptly at 8:30PM.

Cost: FREE (Paid for by Troop 3480 dues. Includes skate rental.)

This Skate Party will be the first Service Unit event for Troop 3480. That means girls will be meeting sister Girl Scouts from all over their local area. It will be a great time to trade SWAPS and make new friends (but keep the old). Family & friends are welcome!

No meeting this Friday, Brownie Day at Color Me Mine This Saturday

Asalaamu Alaikum

There is NO MEETING this Friday. Remember: Troop 3480 meets every other week. Our next schedule troop meeting will be 25 January 2013, 6 – 7:30PM.

Parents of Brownies signed up for Brownie Day at Color Me Mine are to meet at Color Me Mine at 12:45pm this Saturday, January 19, 2013. The address for Color Me Mine is 823 Ellsworth Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20910.

Cookie Mom’s Memo: Cookie Orders Due Friday, 18 January, 10PM

Asalaamu Alaikum

COOKIE ORDERS
Initial cookie orders must me emailed to me by 10pm, Friday January 18th, 2013 at zakiya [dot] zaid [at] gmail [dot] com. Please include cookie totals per cookie.

For example:

Brownie Barakat Bilal has an order for 20 cookies.
10 are Trefoils, 5 are Savannah Smiles and 5 are Samoas.

Another option is to attach a copy of your Girl Scout’s Cookie order form as a PDF to your email.

COOKIE BOOTHS
I will be doing Cookie Booth sign up at the next troop meeting, January 25, 2013

Currently we have three booth dates:

  1. Friday, 22 February at PGMA for both Jummahs
  2. Friday, 1 March at PGMA for both Jummahs
  3. Sunday, 10 March for the International Sister’s Network Fashion Show (only 2 girls and 2 adults)

Additional Cookie Booth dates and locations will be updated next month. Girls selling at Cookie Booths MUST be in full uniform (vest, hijab, white shirt, khaki skirt / pants / overgarment).

COOKIE PICK-UP
Cookie Pick-Up will be in February (Date TBA), inshaAllah. Parents will have a specific window of time to pick up the cookies for their girl(s). As per the Cookie Agreement, each parent will only be allowed to pick up their own girl’s cookies. Additional information will be announced at the next troop meeting on 25 January 2013.
