Girl Scout Engineering Saturday (GSES) is a program for local Girl Scout troops in Maryland and the Washington metropolitan area. Cadettes and Seniors (grades 6-10) engage in fun hands-on activities and earn the Women in Engineering Girl Scout Engineering Saturday patch.

Goals of GSES

  • To expose Girl Scout Troops to engineering related activities
  • To introduce young women to professional career options in engineering or science
  • To provide university students with the chance to develop and implement engineering related activities, and to enhance their communication and leadership skills

Register: Registration is conducted on a first come, first serve basis until all available spaces are full. Submit your registration form, which can be found at https:/futureumdengr.wufoo.com/forms/girl-scout-engineering-saturday-spring-2014/, as soon as possible to secure your place in the February program.

Fee: There is a $10 registration fee for each participant, which covers lunch and the cost of patches. Please do NOT include this fee with your registration form; we will request the fee after your scouts have been accepted into the program.
