BASIC UNIFORM
Girls are required to wear khaki pants, a white top, tennis shoes and white hijab to meetings and activities. Girls are also welcome to wear a khaki jilbab or abaya. All girls must be prepared to participate in physical and/or outdoor activity.
OFFICIAL VESTS
There is no mistaking a Girl Scout when she wears her vest or smock. Official Girl Scout vests, smocks, and other uniform items can be purchased online at www.girlscoutshop.com/NATIONS-CAPITAL-COUNCIL or at the Nation’s Capital Main Shop located at 4301 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008. Daisies wear a smock while Brownies, Juniors Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors wear vests as pictured below. Parents must also purchase an American flag patch, council identification set for the Nation’s Capital, troop crest, troop numbers, and an insignia tab.
