
The Columbia Girls in STEM Initiative prepares motivated high school students from typically underrepresented populations for STEM studies in college, in collaboration with industry leaders throughout the country.
Taught by Columbia University faculty, the program provides participants with a one-week, integrated learning experience that focuses on three strategic approaches:
- INTRODUCE female STEM role models and leadership
- BUILD a bridge between K–12 and college
- CONNECT the STEM classroom to the real world

Girl Scout Mom, Sis Haleemah, is teaching archery at
InshaAllah, on January 21, 2019, 9:30AM to 3PM, the Seniors and Ambassadors have been invited to volunteer with the America’s Islamic Heritage Museum to participate in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Freedom March Parade and the Day of Service. The museum will provide 500 hot meals and hot drink station stands along part of the parade route in partnership with Islamic Relief USA. Girls will pass out food and drinks and have the opportunity to walk in the parade.
