The final troop meeting of the 2016-2017 Girl Scout year will be this Friday, May 19, 2017, 6:15 – 7:45PM, inshaAllah. Please be timely. Arrivals after 6:45PM are disruptive to troop meetings and strongly discouraged.

TROOP DUES

Parents who have not already done so should pay their Girl Scout’s troop dues: $45 for Daisies, $60 for all other levels.

National membership dues for girls and adults have increased to $25 to ensure that Girl Scouts of the USA has the resources to develop new girl programs and invest in new technology. Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital is committed to making Girl Scouts available to all girls and volunteer members. Girl Scouts registration assistance is available to help families with financial needs. You can request financial assistance online at the time of renewal. Sis. Alia will also be available during the troop meeting to assist with early bird registration.

BROWNIES

• Coming this weekend: Girl Scout Day at the Darnall’s Chance Museum (B/J), 5/6

JUNIORS

• Juniors will be working with Sis Yasmeen to make their own archery arm band.
• This Friday is the last day to turn in both permission form and $20 payment for Spring Overnight Camping, May 13 – 14

CADETTES

• Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors will continue watching the Oscar-nominated film, Hidden Figures.
• Any outstanding badge work must be completed by May 5th, in order to receive your badges on May 19th at our end of the year badge ceremony. Please check with Sis. Rahmah or Sis. Aaliyah to confirm which badges you need to complete.

SENIORS & AMBASSADORS

• Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors will continue watching the Oscar-nominated film, Hidden Figures.

PARENTS

• The Girl Scout Year will end on May 19. Please pay your Girl Scout’s troop dues: $45 for Daisies, $60 for all other levels.
• Parents should contact Snack Mom, Sis. Rolanda, during the troop meeting to sign up to bring snacks for the final  troop meeting on May 19.

DAISIES

• Turn in permission form and payment for 3 Cheers for Animals Journey-in-a-Day, Apr 29

BROWNIES

• Brownies will be decorating cupcakes directed by a wedding cake/dessert chef.
• Blanket throws are still available for purchase.
• Please submit your final dues payment .

JUNIORS

• Turn in permission form and payment for Spring Overnight Camping, May 13 – 14

• Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors will be watching the Oscar-nominated film, Hidden Figures.

• Senior & Ambassadors will join the Cadettes to watch Hidden Figures.
• We will also be working on our last trip for the year.

PARENTS

• The Girl Scout Year will be coming to an end soon. Please pay your Girl Scout’s troop dues: $45 for Daisies, $60 for all other levels. If needed, dues can be paid in installments. Dues pay for badges and pins, help supplement some activities/trips, and also help support the troop web site, and other troop expenses. (Parents pay for fun patches.)
• Parents should contact Snack Mom, Sis. Rolanda, during the troop meeting to sign up to bring snacks for upcoming troop meetings.
