The Junior Get Moving! Journey is all about energy: carbon footprint, green buildings, energy audits and conservation. Girls will learn about ways to reduce their personal energy use; learn how buildings use energy; and work with their troop to tackle an energy-related issue in their community.
Juniors will be completing their Get Moving! Journey at the Chesapeake Children’s Museum on Sunday, December 25, 2016. Girls should arrive at 8:45AM with weather appropriate clothing, vest, Get Moving! Journey book, and a bag lunch. Two snacks will be provided.

Juniors will begin their Animal Habitats badge with a interpretive pontoon boat tour down the Anacostia River. A naturalist will teach the girls about animal habitats and characteristics, guide them in discovering where animals live, what they eat, how they move, how they adapt to survive, and much more. The program will focus on Reptiles, Amphibians, Mammals, Birds and Fish. Girls will also explore the furs and bones of various animals.
