Troop Meeting This Friday, Daisy & Junior Trip Forms Due

We will see your beautiful faces at the troop meeting this Friday, April 5, at 6PM. The troop meeting will end in time for the maghrib prayer, inshaAllah, around 7:30PM.

Remember that permission slips are due for the Daisy trip to the Chesapeake Children’s Museum and and the Junior trip to Color Me Mine, both occurring next Saturday, April 13. Please try to bring exact change for payments.

Daisy Day at the Chesapeake Children’s Museum

Troop 3480 Daisies will take a field trip to the Chesapeake Children’s Museum in Annapolis, MD, to earn two petals.
To earn the “Vi” petal, girls will learn about being a sister to every Girl Scout. To earn the “Clover” petal, girls will learn about using resources wisely.

Download the permission form and turn it in by the April 5, 2013 troop meeting.

On Your Own: STEM Leadership Institute at the University of Maryland

Cost: $20 per person (includes lunch, dinner, and a patch)

Join GSCNC for its very first STEM Leadership Institute. Exclusively for Girl Scout Cadettes, this program will give attendees the opportunity to explore the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. From hands-on activities, to career exploration, to a tour of the University of Maryland campus, this program will give girls the tools they need to pursue a STEM career. Girl Scouts will also participate in a workshop that will prepare them to earn their Leader In Action (LIA) award, an award earned by Girl Scout Cadettes who demonstrate leadership by guiding a Brownie Girl Scout Troop through a Journey.

Troop Leaders are welcome to register for this event, and may go to the program sessions with their troop.
