Visit to The Textile Museum at GWU, Jan 27

The Textile Museum at The George Washington University has given the Seniors and Ambassadors the opportunity to get a firsthand look at how textiles are made and used. This will give them an opportunity to work towards completing the requirements for the Science of Style badge.

Girl should dress appropriately for the weather, wear their vest, and bring a lunch.

Senior & Ambassador Camping Survival Skills, Dec 26 – 31

S_AdventureCamperSeniors and Ambassadors will have an opportunity to go lodge camping from Friday, December 29 – Sunday, December 31, 2017 inshaAllah. They will be working on camping survival skills and intend on earning the Sky and Adventure Camper badges. Girls will continue focusing on activities designed to build leadership and communication skills.

Register for camp by December 28, 2017. All belongings should be labeled. Mobile phones and other valuables should be left at home.

Senior & Ambassador Star Gazing Party, Dec 16

InshaAllah, the Seniors and Ambassadors will have the opportunity to participate in a Star Gazing Party with the Astronomical Society of Greenbelt (ASG) on this Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 6PM.

The Star Gazing Party will take place at Northway Field in Greenbelt, MD. If you are driving, please park in the parking lot by the ball field.  Do not drive up the small hill on which the observatory is located.
Girls should wear their Girl Scout vest and weather-appropriate clothing. A sit-upon, blanket or lawn chair may be brought as well. InshaAllah, Light snacks will be provided for $3.

A completed permission form must be turned in by the December 15, 2017 troop meeting.
