Reminder: Service Unit Encampment at Camp Letts THIS WEEKEND, May 1 – 3
Asalaamu Alaikum
Service Unit 22-6 Encampment is THIS WEEKEND May 1 – 3, 2015 at Camp Letts! Drop-off is Friday, May 1, between 5PM and 9PM. The Daisy program begins May 2, 10:30AM – 4PM.
See packing list here. All belongings should be labeled. Mobile phones and other valuables should be left at home.
Bring parent permission forms for Cadette canoeing activity and Junior/Senior/Ambassador archery activity.
PLEASE NOTE: Arrange rides to and from Camp Letts prior to the weekend; do not depend on troop leaders as your girl’s transportation. The contact person for emergencies is listed on the permission forms. In case of emergency, parents or the designated emergency contact should be available to pick up their girl at any time.
Troop Meeting This Friday, Apr 24
The next regularly scheduled troop meeting will be this Friday, April 24, 6 – 7:30PM, inshaAllah.
BROWNIES
- Brownies will be working on their Painting badge by creating a mural with Sis. Zahra so girls should wear clothing that they don’t mind getting paint on.
JUNIORS
- Juniors will begin working on their Digital Photography badge inshaAllah. All girls should bring a digital camera (SLR, handheld camera, mobile phone or tablet) and a USB cord to the troop meeting if possible.
CADETTES
- Many Cadettes will be attending the Media Journey on Friday, so the troop meeting will only be for girls who are working on Take Action Projects, or those who want to do the flag ceremony at encampment in May.
- Cadettes should complete the work for their My Promise, My Faith pins by the end of the April inshaAllah.
MULTIPLE LEVELS
- The Spy Museum event is THIS WEEKEND, April 25 at 2PM inshaAllah. We will meet at New Carrolton Metro at 1PM and return to there at 4PM. Girls should wear their vest, pack a lunch and bring Metro fare.
- CANCELLED: Daisy & Brownie Wegmans Cooking Class, May 9. Refunds will be given at the troop meeting inshaAllah.
PARENTS
- Please contact Sister Rolanda at this Friday’s troop meeting to sign up to bring snacks. Troop managers request that parents provide snacks for at least one troop meeting during the Girl Scout year.
