Troop 3480 Girl Scouts Complete Their First Fabulous Cookie Season

mtc_treshortAlhamdulillah! The 2013 Girl Scout Cookie Season has ended. Besides learning fundamental business skills, setting smart goals, making better decisions, managing money, and interacting confidently with customers, the Girls Scouts of Troop 3480 completed their first cookie season with remarkable results:

  • 29 out of 59 of our girl scouts sold cookies
  • Our girl scouts sold $12,004 worth of cookies
  • Our girl scouts earned $2190.73 for our troop
  • Our top 5 sellers sold over 200 boxes each
    1. Lailah – 242 boxes
    2. Asima – 241 boxes
    3. Kalilah – 229 boxes
    4. Nabila – 219 boxes
    5. Asiyah – 205 boxes

We’d like to give appreciation to our (exhausted) Cookie Mom, Sis. Zakiya! We thank our girls’ families and customers for supporting Troop 3480 during our first fabulous cookie season.

Cookie Update: Turn in Cookie Money and Sign Up for a Cookie Booth

COOKIE MONEY
Parents, please turn in your girl’s cookie money to me on meeting days in the brown envelopes. Make sure your girl scout’s name is on the front.

SECOND ORDERS
I will be accepting second orders on Friday, March 1, 2013. Pick up the following day, Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Sis. Alia’s home. Please get those orders in via email or phone.

See me to sign up for new Cookie Booths on the following dates:

March 2, 2013, 3 – 6pm at Giant, Lanham, MD

March 10, 2013, 9am – 1pm at CVS, Largo, MD

Cookies, Cookies, and More Cookies!

COOKIE PICK-UP
The parents of girls who took cookie orders can pick up their girl’s cookies from Cookie Mom Sis. Zakiya on Friday, February 15, 2013, from 4 – 9PM. The pick-up location was provided at the last troop meeting. Please email her at zakiya [dot] zaid [at] gmail [dot] com with questions or if you are unable to make the scheduled pick-up time.

COOKIE BOOTHS
Troop 3480’s girls are going hone their business skills by experiencing what it’s like to set up a Cookie Booth, manage customer orders in real-time and handle money. We are planning to have several Cookie Booths after Jummah at area masjids.
