Senior & Ambassador Star Gazing Party, Dec 16

InshaAllah, the Seniors and Ambassadors will have the opportunity to participate in a Star Gazing Party with the Astronomical Society of Greenbelt (ASG) on this Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 6PM.

The Star Gazing Party will take place at Northway Field in Greenbelt, MD. If you are driving, please park in the parking lot by the ball field. Do not drive up the small hill on which the observatory is located.
Girls should wear their Girl Scout vest and weather-appropriate clothing. A sit-upon, blanket or lawn chair may be brought as well. InshaAllah, Light snacks will be provided for $3.

A completed permission form must be turned in by the December 15, 2017 troop meeting.

Brownie Making Games and Dancer Badges at Montpelier Mansion, Dec 30

Brownies will complete two badges at Montpelier Museum Mansion.

Making Games badge: Go on a treasure hunt through the past, or play a mystery game with a historical twist. Learn how kids had fun long ago and invent a new game using old toys.
Dancer badge: By learning the dances, education, and other customs from Maryland’s past, girls will discover what was considered appropriate in 18th-century society, and how much things have changed.

Note: Part of the program will be outside, weather permitting, so dress appropriately for the weather. No tagalongs, please.
