New Girl Scout Parent Interest Meeting Saturday, 27 April at 2PM

gs missionDoes your daughter want to be a Girl Scout? Is she interested in becoming one of the leaders of tomorrow? Is she looking for halal fun and friendship? Does she want to build character and self-esteem and serve her community? In Girl Scouts, girls find a safe place to grow and share new experiences, learn to relate to others, develop values, and contribute to society.

Troop 3480 is a Girl Scout Troop located at PGMA for Muslim girls ages 5-17. Parents should attend the mandatory interest meeting on Saturday, April 27, 2 – 4PM at PGMA. This meeting is only for parents whose girls are NOT currently members of Troop 3480.

During this meeting parents will learn about our enriching and exciting Girl Scout Troop comprised of 59 girls, 9 leaders and many parent volunteers. We will answer the following questions:

  • What is Girl Scouts all about?
  • How does my daughter join Troop 3480?
  • What are my responsibilities as a parent of a Girl Scout?
  • How do I become a troop leader/advisor or parent volunteer?

SPACE IS LIMITED! Please be advised that attendance at the meeting will NOT guarantee admission into the troop. Due to girl-to-adult ratio requirements, there will be limited space for the 2013-2014 Girl Scout Year. More troop leaders increases how many girls can participate. Troop leader’s daughters are guaranteed a space in the troop. Any sister interested in becoming a troop leader should email alia [dot] kemet [at] gmail [dot] com for more information.

Please feel free to spread the word. We look forward to meeting you on April 27th. Thank you for your interest in PGMA Girl Scout Troop 3480!
