Fall Harvest Festival, Oct 29 (D/B)

fallfunladybuggirlscoutpatchFall Is Here, and so are pumpkins, apple cider and crisp fresh air! InshaAllah, the Daisies and Brownies will participate in the Fall Harvest Festival at Montpelier Farms on October 29, 2016. The visit includes hay rides, animals, pedal karts, 7-acre corn maze, pallet maze, roping range and kids corral playground. We will also visit the pumpkin patch, where pumpkins can be picked and purchased for an extra fee of $3.

Girls should arrive at 9:45AM in their vest, hijab and play clothes suitable for the weather. Please bring a snack/lunch to enjoy after the activities. All tagalongs and siblings are welcome to attend with an accompanying parent.

Scout Day at the Medical Museum, Oct 15 (D/B)

The National Medical Museum of Health and Medicine will host a morning of specialized activities for all Scouts to meet first aid badge requirements, including triage, outdoor injuries, medical response, first aid kits and emergency responders. Daisies will be able to meet the requirement of interacting with a first responder, and Brownies and up will be able to complete many, if not all, of the requirements for first aid badges. This is a drop-in program and is free of charge. Scouts will take home a first aid kit that they will assemble and a Medical Museum fun patch (both available while supplies last).brownie_brownie-first-aid_large

Girls should arrive at 9:45AM in full uniform with vest/smock and white hijab. All levels and tagalongs are welcome to attend with an accompanying parent/guardian. Download the flyer for additional information.

PetSmart Visit, Feb 21 (D,B)

brownie_pets_largeDaisies and Brownies will have an exciting visit with their furry and chirpy friends at PetSmart on Sunday, February 21, 2016. The girls will meet and learn about animals, including birds, fish, reptiles, dogs and cats. The staff will discuss animal care and what it takes to be a pet owner.

Brownies will be working towards their Pets badge and Daisies will be working on their Three Cheers for Animals Journey. Girls should wear their vests and weather appropriate clothing.
