On Your Own: STEMosphere at George Washington University, Mar. 8

sharefarelogo On Saturday March 8, George Washington University is hosting a great, free event called STEMosphere. It is an expo of fun, hands-on, interactive STEM-inspired activities for children PreK-12th grade. Exhibitors include: Smithsonian Science Education Center, Discovery Education, NASA, and more! Girl Scouts of All Ages and their leaders or adult chaperones are welcome to come to the Smith Center at George Washington University Foggy Bottom Campus at 600 22nd St NW, Washington DC. Girl Scouts must be accompanied by adult chaperones and meet volunteer essentials safety ratios. Concession snacks will be available for sale at the Smith Center. Cost: $20 per person (includes lunch, dinner, and a patch)

Join GSCNC for its very first STEM Leadership Institute. Exclusively for Girl Scout Cadettes, this program will give attendees the opportunity to explore the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. From hands-on activities, to career exploration, to a tour of the University of Maryland campus, this program will give girls the tools they need to pursue a STEM career. Girl Scouts will also participate in a workshop that will prepare them to earn their Leader In Action (LIA) award, an award earned by Girl Scout Cadettes who demonstrate leadership by guiding a Brownie Girl Scout Troop through a Journey.

Troop Leaders are welcome to register for this event, and may go to the program sessions with their troop.
