BROWNIES

  • This Friday, Brownies will be painting the pottery they made at the last troop meeting and completing the final pages in their WOW Journey Book. Girls will also be able to make a pottery piece if they were absent. Girls should bring their journey books.
  • The Brownie trip to the National Museum for the American Indian has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2017, 11:30AM – 2PM. There will be permission slips at the hall table. We can update the ones previously turned in.

JUNIORS

  • Juniors will continue working on their Simple Meals badge with Chef Steve from Sweettooth Cakes & Pastries. Chef Steve will show the girls basic tools bakers use to decorate cakes and cupcakes, and then do a cupcake decorating demonstration. Sweet!

  • Cadettes will be finishing work on their Comic Artist badge. Please remember to bring paper and pencils.
  • Cadettes will be reviewing and updating our calendar of activities for the winter and spring.
  • Cadettes are going lodge camping together inshAllah! Lodge camping is a way for Girls to experience camping without being exposed to the elements overnight. Girls will work on badges and participate in team building activities. We will be focusing on activities designed to build leadership and communication skills among the girls. Cadettes can register for camp between now and March 3. Girls will begin planning for the camping trip in February.

PARENTS

  • Pay your Girl Scout’s troop dues: $45 for Daisies, $60 for all other levels. If needed, dues can be paid in installments. Dues pay for badges and pins, help supplement some activities/trips, and also help support the troop web site, and other troop expenses. (Parents pay for fun patches.) For financial assistance contact your Girl Scout’s troop leader.
  • Financial assistance is also available for uniform items, Girl Guides and journey books. Contact your Girl Scout’s troop leader.
