It’s back to troop time! We had a wonderful year last year and can’t wait to create more memories with our new and returning Girl Scouts. To kickoff our 7th year we are hosting an interest and registration meeting for all Girl Scouts and parents on September 9, 2017, 9 – 11 AM at PGMA. Parents of existing PGMA Girl Scouts from 2016-17 who have not re-registered for the upcoming year, must do so before September 9 or risk losing their spot. As a last resort, or if you are having problems, come to the Back to Troop Parent Meeting on September 9 inshaAllah.

I am trying to register my daughter for the 2017-2018 year and it has the service unit 22-6 as inactive for her but the Troop 3057 as active. Last year she was unable to register for certain things because she wasn’t listed in the service unit. Can someone please assist with fixing this issue?
The best person to help you with registration issues is the membership specialist for our area, Charmaine Wilson. Here is her contact information:

As salaamu alaikum Sis Yasmine. If your daughter is new to Girl Scouts you can register her here: http://www.gscnc.org/en/about-girl-scouts/join.html
You can also complete a Girl Health Form to bring with you to the Back to Troop Parent Meeting: http://www.gscnc.org/content/dam/girlscouts-gscnc/documents/Frequently%20Accessed%20Forms/3_Girl_Health_History_and_Emergency_Medical_Authorization_Form.pdf
Girl Scout levels are by grade, rather than age. Girls who are 10 are usually in 4th or 5th grade and would be Junior Girl Scouts. You should come to the Back to Troop Parent Meeting on September 9 and speak to troop management to confirm that a spot in a PGMA troop is available for your daughter’s level.
