Program: 2016 Earth Day River Clean Up

When: April 23, 2016 10AM- 12PM
Where: River Terrace Park Anacostia Ave and Dix Ave, NE
What: This will be a river clean up with the Earth Conservation Corps, the DC Department of Energy and the Environment, and the Audubon Society. Everyone should wear boots and clothes they don’t mind getting dirty. This clean up will contribute to the restoration of the Anacostia River in our nation’s capital. There is plenty of parking and lots of signage so you can easily identify the location of the site. This is a Girl Scout only event.

The National Park Service is looking for teen Girl Scouts to help plant trees. This is a great opportunity to earn federal service hours. Volunteers will meet at C & O Canal at Riley’s Lockhouse on April 16, 2016 at 10AM. In the event of light rain, the activity is still on.
