On Your Own: Family Fun at Sharp Farm Corn Maze, Oct 18

corn_maze_entrance Bring your Girl Scouts, family, and friends to the Sharp Farm Corn Maze. Every autumn, Sharp Farms cuts its 7+ acre corn field, transforming it into a family friendly educational maze. They always choose a farming/agriculture theme with the purpose of enlightening families about a particular subject while having a great time together. Throughout the maze is information about the theme as well as some true and false questions that you will have to answer. If you answer correctly, you continue on the path and if answered incorrectly, you end up in a dead end and must turn around to get back on the path.

Admission: $7/adult and $5/child. Children under 2 years are free with a paying adult. If you have young children that just want the fun of going through the corn, the mini maze is perfect. For just $1/person you can go into our mini corn maze as many times as you like.

Let’s get Back to Troop today, Friday, October 9, 2015, 6 – 7:30PM! Girls should wear their uniforms and come prepared to actively participate in the troop meeting. Please be timely.

October Troop Community Service Project: Girls should bring bottles of 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner to the troop meetings on October 9 and 23 to donate to the annual Purse Drive sponsored by My Girlfriend’s House.
Winter Challenge Core Camp, Feb 19 -21, for Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors

PARENTS

Join troop management for a parent meeting, 6:30 – 7:15PM. This parent meeting is for parents whose girls are already registered with Troop 3480, as well as parents of girls new to the troop or interested in joining the troop.

Time to get Back to Troop!

The first meeting of the 2015-2016 scouting year will be Friday, October 9, 2013, 6 – 7:30PM, inshaAllah.

Parents: Join troop management for a parent meeting, 6:30 – 7:15PM. This parent meeting is for those parents whose girls are already registered with Troop 3480, as well as parents of girls new to the troop and interested in joining the troop.

InshaAllah parents will :

Meet troop management
Go over troop guidelines, including the do’s and don’t’s that will make your girl’s scouting year go smoothly
Sign up to volunteer
Learn about Girl Scout uniform requirements and where to buy it all
Listen to other parents share their girl’s experiences with the troop
Ask questions. Things can get hectic during meeting times. We have about 80 girls and 160 parents, other siblings in and around the building. Come with your questions ready.
