There are two components to earn a Girl Scout Bridging Award. In step one girls “Pass It On” by sharing their talents and skills by teaching younger Girl Scouts something they learned to do. Step two asks girls to “Look Ahead” by finding out what Girl Scouts do in the next level.
Juniors who are bridging to Cadettes have already had an opportunity to “Look Ahead” when they took a peek at the videos Cadettes created during one of their journeys last Girl Scout year. To complete the “Pass It On” portion, girls must download and print a Pass It On bookmark and then follow the steps to connect with one or more Brownies to share their experiences as Junior Girl Scouts. When bridging Juniors have completed the Pass It On bookmark, they will have earned their first badge as a Girl Scout Cadette!
