Update: Volunteer During Ramadan Week of Service at PGMA

As Salaam Alaikum and Ramadan Mubarak!

Iftar Volunteers: Brownies, Juniors  Cadettes, Seniors & Ambassadors

Our Girl Scout Troop will be providing a week of service to help with Iftar at PGMA next week everyday Sunday July 6- Saturday July 12. We will need older Girl Scouts (Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors) to arrive at the Masjid to help set up at 7:45 pm each of these nights. Please come out and support the Masjid and community that supports our troop this Ramadan by helping with Iftar. The support of mothers and grandmothers is also greatly appreciated.

Brownies: will come prepapared to display recycle posters, recycle boxes and inform the community about the benefits of recycling.

Juniors: will help with the set up and clean up.

Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors: will set up the food service tables and serve, as well as provide any additional assistance as needed

Wear your vest and be on time with a wonderful attitude. In addition to working to please Allah (swta), girls will also be able to gain community service hours for the Silver Trefoil Award.

Ramadan Lock In

Due to the lateness of Maghrib and the short nights this Ramadan, Girl Scout Troop 3480 will not be holding a Ramadan Lock-In this year. We will be planning a special Hajj program later in the year. More information to come…

End of the Year Celebration is Thursday June 5th

Please join us for the Troop 3480 End of the Year Celebration!

Join your fellow Girl Scout families as we celebrate the 2013-2014 Girl Scout Year, Thursday, 5 June, 2014, 6 – 8PM at Laurel Beltsville Senior Activity Center in Laurel, MD. Please RSVP with Sister Alia at tonight’s meeting or via email at alia [dot] kemet [at] gmail [dot] com so we know how many will be attending from your family. Dinner will be provided and financial donations are appreciated. If you would like to make a financial donation to help pay for the food, please bring it to tonight’s meeting. Food donations will not be accepted as the meal will be catered.

Meeting Today & Early Bird Registration Begins for 2013-2014 Scouting Year

troopMeetingTodayTroop 3480’s regularly scheduled troop meeting is today, Friday, May 3, 2013, 6 – 7:30PM.

Also, Early Bird registration for current girl scouts begins today. Register your girl now for 2013-2014 scouting year to secure her spot and prevent her from being put on the wait-list. Early Bird registration ends on May 30, the final troop meeting of the 2012-2013 scouting year. InshaAllah we will see all your girls returning to Troop 3480 in the fall.
