On Your Own: Girl Scouts on Ice, Mar. 22

FigureSkatingIconExperience the excitement of the 2014 Winter Olympics and come learn about the thrilling sport of figure skating with the Columbia Figure Skating Club! You will receive a free lesson from the senior level skaters where you’ll learn the basics of the sport. After the lesson, challenge yourself to do your best as you practice what you’ve learned. Instructors and experienced skaters will be on hand to help and give pointers. This is a Girl Scout exclusive event, not open to the public. On Your Own: Service Unit 22-6 Ice Skate Night, Jan. 18 (Tonight)

Cost: Cost $5 (children & adults) Proceeds to support SHARE

Come on out and enjoy an evening of ice skating with your Girl Scout friends. Family and friends are welcome to enjoy the fun too. The rink will have hot chocolate and popcorn for sale ($1.00 each) Tickets will be available at the door.

As far as the younger skaters, the smallest size skate is a toddler 6. We recommend helmets (bike helmets are fine), hats and gloves. Make sure children are dressed warmly and that when they raise their arms above their head that their tummy area is covered.
