The next regularly scheduled troop meeting will be this Friday, January 2, 6 – 7:30PM, inshaAllah.

  • The dress-up Rainbow Tea Party has been rescheduled to January 16, inshaAllah.
  • All WOW journey pages need to be completed to receive the badges. Pages 77, 84, 85, 99, 106 – 109 were assigned last week. Pages 56 – 59, 82, 83 were assigned the previous meeting as well as page 29. We will review them after Investiture.
  • For their WOW Action Project, Brownies will be selling blanket throws for $12 each to raise funds to make a charitable donation to assist building wells in an African country through Good Gift Foundation.

Back to Troop! Oct 10

backToTroop201415Troop 3480’s first troop meeting of the 2014 – 2015 Girl Scout year will be Friday, 10 October 2014, 6 – 7:30PM at PGMA inshaAllah.

Only girls who have registered with Troop 3480 before 1 October should attend this opening troop meeting. Troop management will not be accepting registrations at troop meetings. Parents who would like to register their girls must attend the final parent registration meeting to be scheduled in October inshaAllah.

Bridging girls should bring two bridging letters to the first troop meeting in preparation for the Bridging Ceremony on Saturday, October 11, at Bladensburg Waterfront Park, 2 – 4PM inshaAllah. One letter describes what they did in their troop level last year and the other ask girls in their new level about their new troop level.

Cadettes should bring a notebook and a pencil/pen to every troop meeting. At this first meeting girls will be:

  • Choosing a troop crest. Look at the symbols and meanings of the different troop crests in your Cadette Guide and come with ideas of which one shows the world what you want your group to stand for.

  • Selecting the first five badges they would like to earn. Take a look over the Cadette badges (below) and come prepared to share you would like to earn this year. Girls should also bring a notebook and a pencil/pen to every troop meeting.
  • Picking a Journey (below) to complete with a Take Action project.
