On January 31, 2015, environmental leaders from the Washington, DC area will gather at Maret School to teach children, teens, and adults how to become environmental leaders. This gathering – an Energy Fair – will take place in the Old Gym from 10AM to 12:30PM. The purpose of the Energy Fair is to motivate school-age children and adults to protect our environment through conservation and sustainable practices, efficient and alternative uses of energy, and eco-friendly practices, products, and services. The Energy Fair is free and open to the public. There will be more than 20 exhibitors, hands-on activities for kids, a solar oven activity, a home energy workshop, free prizes every half hour, and the opportunity to win a free home-energy audit. Free parking is available. If you attend, you will learn about:
- Solar energy options
