Meeting Reminder, Daisy Hike & Early Bird Registration
The next regularly scheduled troop meeting will be this Friday, May 9, 6 – 7:30PM, inshaAllah.
Daisies will be hiking around the Masjid this Friday. Girls should wear pants, long shirts, and a hat or hijab. In addition, bring sunscreen and bug spray.
Early Bird Registration for the 2014-2015 Girl Scout year is ongoing until June 1. Every girl who re-registers during the early bird period will receive a newly designed patch for the 2014-2015 Girl Scout year. Girl Scouts currently registered with Troop 3480 should re-register by June 1, 2014 or risk losing their spot in the fall.
Brownies to Earn Naturalist Bugs Badge, Mar. 29
Girl Scouts should stay connected to the earth. As part of the steps toward the Brownie Bugs Badge, girls will be taking a field trip that includes a 45 minute hike looking for where bugs live and seeing them in action. The hike will begin at promptly at 9:30AM. If girls are not on time they will not be able to catch up.
Girls should dress appropriately for the weather and wear their Girl Scout vest and comfortable hiking shoes. Download the permission slip and turn it in with the trip fee by March 14. Tagalongs are welcome to explore the Nature Center, but are not permitted to join the hike.
