As a part of their Camper badge, Juniors will be learning more about the night sky at the Young Planetarium at Rock Creek Park Nature Center. Girls will discover the brightest stars, planets, and constellations of the season and hear their stories in the only planetarium in the National Park System.
Free tickets to each planetarium show may be picked up at the Nature Center front desk up to one-half hour before the show. For visitor safety no admittance will be permitted once the planetarium doors close.
Girls should wear comfortable clothing and their Girl Scout vest. Out of respect for other planetarium guests, it is highly recommended that parents abide by the age recommendations: 5 years and older. Tagalongs ages 5 and above and other levels — like the Cadettes who were just working on their Night Owl badge — are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
